Mike Williams is an independent dance artist based in South Wales. A graduate of Roehampton university 2006, Mike has held some prestigious company roles from Earthfall (2008-2010) and Ffin Dance (2010-2014) and has been performing on a project basis with Exim Dance Company since 2012.

2015 marked the debut of Mikes first steps as an emerging choreographer. He toured his first professional solo throughout the UK, including the Wales Dance Platform 2015, Edinburgh Fringe Festival and Cloud Dance Festival in London. Mike is currently in the initial stages of researching his new solo, ‘BoxedIN’ after having a rewarding and explorative week as an Artist in Residence in March with National Dance Company Wales. Alongside his work with Ransack Mike also dancers for Joon Dance and is a keen Yogi, and CrossFit athlete.

Mike has danced for Ransack for a number of years. Mike performed in our premiere of touring production 'Murmur, and toured as a dancer in our national tour of 'Us and Them' in 2023 and 2024. He has also been involved in all of our 'Gyda'n Gilydd' professional development programmes, including community dance projects in RCT and R&D of new production work including new double-bill 'States of Being.' In addition Mike has taught our youth dance company for a number of years. ​​

Mike is taking on the new role as Rehearsal Director for our new work in development 'States of Being' as we move forward with the development of the production, and for our planned re-tour of 'Us and Them'.
