EXPLORE
Professional Development Programme 

The EXPLORE programme is delivered in partnership with our associated organisation Artis Community. The programme involves skills sharing and training across community dance and dance performance practices, training our staff to work between our two organisations. Each year we also invite a number of independent artists into the programme who would like to upskill in these areas.

As part of the project, we invite emerging dancers, physical theatre performers and dance teachers to apply to join Ransack Dance Company's new research and development rehearsals and perform with the company. We'll share our unique practice and repertoire, as well as researching and developing ideas for our brand new work!

Successful applicants will receive the following training opportunities:

- Attendance at our community dance practice training days

- Paid shadowing opportunities on our community dance programme.

- Joining Ransack Dance Company in an open research and development rehearsal week, to explore choreographic ideas for their new work.

- Daily professional company class with Ransack Dance Company during the week.

- Mentoring and feedback sessions with our Development Officer and Ransack’s Artistic Director.

- Performance opportunity as part of our ‘Gyda’n Gilydd’ Programme celebration event

 

EXPLORE is a paid training programme and the following training fees will be paid to participating artists: £25 per hour(shadowing), £150 per day(training days and performance day) and weekly rate of £575 (R&D).
